2. It is an edible spice that is accepted accordingto GB2760-2014. As a spice, it is widely used to prepare banana, pear,pineapple, apricot, peach, strawberry, berry and other essences. It can also beused as a solvent for natural adhesives and synthetic resins.
3. It can be used as an extractant in variouspetroleum processing and pharmaceutical processes.
4. It can be used as an analytical reagent, i.e. thereference substance - naphthalene for chromatographic analysis.

Butyl Acetate, also known as ethyl butyrate, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H12O2. It features a structural formula of C6H12O2, consisting of an acetate group attached to a butyl chain. This colorless liquid exhibits a pleasant, fruity odor reminiscent of bananas or apples. With a molecular weight of approximately 116.16 g/mol, it has a boiling point around 126-127 °C (259-261 °F) and a relatively low density of about 0.88 g/mL. It is poorly soluble in water but highly miscible with most organic solvents, making it a versatile solvent in various industrial applications.
